Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates sessions are 90 minutes long and are tailored to you.

With a clinical Pilates session, I will first run through your medical history, do a spinal screening and run through a muscle assessment in a treatment room before we go into the studio where I will teach you the fundamentals of Pilates. After this, I will teach you a bespoke Pilates programme based on your needs. This programme can be accessed online with photos and videos of every exercise and stretch in your programme so that you can practice it safely and effectively in your own home.

The spinal screening includes testing your joint range of movement and limitations.

In the muscle assessment, I will test the muscle strength and tone, muscle length and flexibility, muscle firing patterns (to ensure the correct muscles activate when they are supposed to and which muscles have ‘switched off’ so that we can re-educate them and correct muscle imbalances)
